Most People Endure Difficult Times
Life has both joyful and heartbreaking moments. The difficult times, like the death of a partner, infidelity, unemployment, or health problems, can feel life-altering and leave an individual feeling fragile and vulnerable which can also affect our relationships. Feelings of grief, anxiety, or depression can then occur.
Many people feel stuck, confused, or devastated during such challenging times and don’t know how to move forward. It can feel overwhelming or embarrassing to ask for help. It can feel overwhelming or embarrassing to ask for help, especially if you feel scared or embarrassed about things that have happened in your past that you had no control over, but seem to be controlling you. Maybe everything looks great on the outside, but what’s on the outside isn’t matching how you feel on the inside. Life just doesn’t feel fulfilling and you find yourself wondering what’s next.

It is also normal to feel stuck, worried, or unhappy and not know why, and to sometimes reach a point in your life where you just aren’t sure what is next. Give yourself the gift of being heard and supported while you move through this time in your life. You are not alone, and we are here to help. We excel at helping individuals figure things out, and claim the life they want.
In our sessions, we’ll address your needs and goals as an individual, with relentless empathy, compassion, and acceptance to help you both grow and reconnect with yourself and those around you. We use a combination of Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EMDR. IFS helps clients understand the different parts of themselves in relation to their feelings and behaviors while EMDR helps clients recognize and heal past trauma that may be impacting themselves and their relationships.
Our goal is to make individual counseling a safe and supportive atmosphere. We acknowledge and honor the courage it takes to show yourself to a therapist, and our goals are to help you grow and reclaim your happiness.
